According to legend, the Espresso Martini was invented here in London, when a notorious supermodel marched into a Soho bar and demanded a drink that would “wake me up and f**k me up”. Luckily, bartender Dick Bradsell had the solution. He threw some vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso into a shaker, and poured drinks history into a martini glass. So it’s no surprise that in 2019 there was a whole festival dedicated to the drink. Although there is no festival this year, we love a good Espresso Martini Upstairs and bar manager Ady has created this quick tutorial to show you how its done.
