Pattern Project is creating machinery and software for the neighbourhood micro-factory of the future. This pop-up will give you a glimpse into the world of custom fit and customisable patterns, on-demand cutting robots and sew-it-yourself stations, where you can bring or choose your fabric, customize designer pieces - have them cut and sewn for you LIVE or make them yourself!

Pattern Project have invited Upstairs members to join them on opening night to welcome the future of local, low emission clothing manufacturing. Spaces are limited so please email signup@thedepartmentstore.com to secure you place with a guest.

Microfactories have the potential to transform the current manufacturing system by reducing emissions, miles on clothes and preventing excess production.
