GOOSEY RECOMMENDS


Goosey's September recommendations are a little different this month. With the ability to get out and about he will be focusing on safe activities to do when you leave the house and a few exciting online cultural events to check out too.

GETTING OUT
Brockwell Park -This beautiful park, just south of Brixton, offers an array of landscapes and areas to walk the dog, play football, relax on rolling meadows or even try a spot of outdoor swimming at the famous Brockwell Lido.

Battersea Park Zoo -  This is the perfect place to take the children, it's always a winner. Home to mammals birds and reptiles the zoo also offers an interactive play area.

The Line - This dedicated public art walk mixes exercise and culture on a route that runs from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to the Greenwich Peninsula. You will be able to spot sculptures and art installations of all kinds along the way!

STAYING IN
Lambeth Heritage Festival - With over 40 different events happening almost every day of September, the festival highlights the rich history of our area and this year's programme is all online. You can choose from virtual walks, archive film screenings, online talks, podcasts, virtual reality films, workshops, discussion groups and so much more.

Somerset House - Fancy a culture boost without leaving the house, check out the Somerset House website which is chock full of fascinating online events and workshops, such as 'Arts Careers Behind the Scenes' and 'I Should be doing something else right now live with Marjia Bozinovska Jones'.

Flavour with Yotam Ottolenghi and Ixta Belfrage - The author of several recipe books, Ottolenghi launches his 'Flavour', a recipe book that puts vegetables in the spotlight to create deliciously unique dishes. Join Ottolenghi and Belfrage in conversation with Guardian food writer Felicity Cloake, and have the opportunity to put your questions to them in this live streamed event.
