Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements and outstanding contributions from people of African and Caribbean descent and a chance to learn and celebrate their Heritage and Culture. Our recommendations this month comes directly from the Lambeth Libraries. Lambeth have been putting on fantastic events in honour of Black History Month year after year and this one is no different, with a host of online events that make it easy to attend, our top three pics are:
Okechukwu Nzelu: The Private Joys of Nnenna Maloney
Tuesday 13th October, 7pm

Join Award-winning journalist and 'American in London' Kenya Hunt to discuss her latest book 'Girl' which is a provocative, heart-breaking and frequently hilarious collection of original essays on what it means to be black, a woman, a mother and a global citizen in today's ever changing world.

Family Tree Making Workshop
