GOOSEY RECOMMENDS

Goosey is back with August's round up of recommendations

FILM
A Good Year - Romance/ Comedy
Continuing with the food and drink theme this month, we recommend 'A Good Year', a Ridley Scott film starring Russell Crowe. The protagonist, London-based investment banker Max Skinner, learns that his Uncle Henry has died and left him a chateau and vineyard in Provence. He travels to France in order to sell off the property but begins to realise he needs to assess what is important in life. An innocuous, feel-good movie that is perfect for transporting you to the beautiful Provence vineyards.

LITERATURE

PODCAST
Table Manners with Jessie Ware
Singer Jessie Ware has proved that she is a woman of many talents with this wildly popular podcast. Table Manners invites celebrity guests to enjoy a meal cooked up by Jessie’s mum Lennie, who co-hosts the show. While tucking in, the conversation often turns to music, politics, culture arts and more, while Lennie is the undoubted star of the show – always on had to serve up some deliciously shady commentary alongside her homecooked meals. You can catch Table Manners on tour too, if you fancy experiencing the whole thing live.
