The Downstairs Comedy Club continues and August is looking set to deliver another cracking evening of live stand up.
Expect a brilliant mix of comedians, each bringing their own unique perspective and style to the stage. After all, comedy is a very personal thing, everyone finds different things funny, and that's exactly what makes live stand up so exciting.

Alexandra Haddow
Alexandra Haddow is a London based comedian and writer and one of the most popular acts on the UK comedy circuit. A regular at comedy clubs all over the country, she expertly walks the fine line between cheeky and outright smut. A stalwart of the festival scene, she has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, Green Man, 2000Trees and Victorious Festivals, has supported comedy icons Frankie Boyle, Tommy Tiernan and Bill Bailey, and hosts Dulwich Hamlet Comedy every month.
Tadiwa Mahlunge
Billed as “one of the country's top new comedy acts” by The York Press, Tadiwa Mahlunge has performed at, among others, the Latitude, Greenman, and Greenwich Comedy Festivals, and regularly performs at Top Secret Comedy Club, The Frog and Bucket, The Comedy Store, Glee, Monkey Barrel, Just the Tonic, and now headlines for Off the Kerb, and at smaller regional clubs around the country.
Tadiwa has provided tour support for Dylan Moran, Ed Byrne, Mark Watson, Kyle Kinane, Craig Conant, Christina P, Steven Ho, Tom Houghton, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Jessica Fostekew, and TV warm up for Desiree Burch’s Amazon Prime special.

Elliot Steel, despite being in his 20s, is a veteran of the British comedy circuit. Starting at 16 he has wowed audiences and impressed critics. Having multiple viral clips Steel is becoming a voice for those in their mid 20s with his dark but intelligent style.
Marked as ‘One to Watch’ by the Independent, Elliot Steel is a rising talent on the UK’s comedy circuit. Receiving critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his show Love & Hate Speech in 2023, you won’t want to miss his brand-new show Soft Boi Core. Elliot can also be heard on his regular podcast Btech Philosophers, which he co-hosts with Michael Odewale.
