Founder member and bass player of Dire Straits, John Illsley was a crucial part of one of the biggest bands of all time, selling over 120 million albums and spending 1,100 weeks in the UK album charts.

The band received countless awards including 4 Grammies, 3 Brits, plus a coveted induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. John knows what it takes to be starting out, what it’s like when you’ve arrived and what a roller coaster it can be! 

John will be joined by old friend and Dire Straits co-manager Paul Cummins to talk about those heady times, a Q&A plus live renditions of those Dire Straits classics with members of his band.

The show promises to be a fascinating eye-opener with some wonderful music thrown in. An utterly entertaining, insightful and unique night out.
